Somerset Youth Theatre CIC

We provide a safe, nurturing space for young people in Somerset to make Devised Theatre with professional Artists, Theatre Companies & experienced facilitators. We do this because young people's voices matter. We believe any member of Somerset Youth Theatre has the power to make change in their community and the world. We currently run groups and companies in Langport, Yeovil, Taunton, Shepton Mallet and Highbridge. Our weekly sessions take place in Theatres, village halls and venues throughout Somerset. Members also have regular opportunities to perform their work in Theatres and unusual spaces throughout the County. We are funded by Arts Council England, Seed Sedgemoor, Shepton District Council, Actiontrack. We work closely alongside our delivery partners Wassail Theatre to use theatre as a catalyst for creating healthy, culturally connected communities.
